10-24 X 3/8 BHSC ZINC
Description
Has a similar thread design as a socket cap screw. The dome-shaped head is wider and has a lower profile than a socket cap screw. Made from Alloy Steel and heat treated to HRC 39-44.
Applications
Used when a wider bearing surface or a smoother, more finished appearance is desired.
Zinc
Zinc electroplating is a corrosion-resistant coating that slows rusting. It has a high-temperature tolerance of up to 120‚Ñâ and can be useful for applications requiring aesthetic details. The finish is smooth and silvery blue. Coated fasteners are RoHS compliant (hexavalent chromium-free).
Screws are baked within 1 hour after plating for 14 hours to reduce susceptibility to Hydrogen Embrittlement. HE is unpredictable. All plated lots are thoroughly tested prior to sale to further reduce incidence.
